It's about time!

I KNOW!!!

I'm the best procrastinator in the world!!!!  I've been wanting to write about my trip for two weeks now.... actually almost three.... and I just never started typing!!!! It's all those pictures.  They had me so overwhelmed! I just couldn't do it!  How was I supposed to do a whole blog with a gagillion pictures and talk about them all?  So so hard to do.  Well I'm a genius and figured out a way.... I found an app called PicFrame.  I can put multiple pictures together to create a collage!

You may start clapping now.
(a few whistles too....)

We booked our flight for Pennsylvania about 3 months in advance.  We have been wanting to visit Justin's brother Jason and his wife Rachel with there too cute for the their own good boys Brady and Bryce for a while now so we just decided to go ahead and do it!  I wanted to get the cheapest airline tickets we could find and that was a Red Eye flight.  I thought..... what the heck?  Red Eye adventure?  Yes. So we got to the airport all excited and giggly.  People asked if we were on our honeymoon!  We had such a great time before the flight and then we got on the plane to begin our journey!  Status of the Red Eye experience:

Worst idea ever.

Poor Justin sat by this guy that was apparently starving the entire flight.  McDonald's cheeseburgers just kept coming out of his bag and into his mouth.... the scent permeating the entire row. GAG.  No sleep for us :(

Can't you tell?

Well, we asked for an adventure.... Cup half full people!

We arrived in Sunny PA at 9 in the morning and wasted no time in starting our trip!  The first day was so chuck full of fun things to do!  We slept very very well.  We went and saw the Liberty Bell, visited Benjamin Franklin's grave site, punched the Rocky statue, ate Philly cheesesteaks, explored the little town of Lititz where we stayed, and went to Rita's.  Yum.....

Such a fun filled Friday!

Saturday we made our way to D.C. for the weekend.  We made a stop in Baltimore, MD and I'm so glad we did!  We walked around the harbor and toured the National Aquarium.

We loved all of the Jelly's.... (and you will be my squishy)

I've heard talk about how amazing Washington D.C. is but nothing can really ever prepare you for the vast amount of history there.  It truly was an incredible experience!  One day was not nearly enough to enjoy everything it had to offer!  We barely scratched the surface and only walked through 3 museums and tried to tackle as many monuments as possible.  I'm happy with what we saw but am so eager to go back and explore some more!

We were so beat and tuckered out by the end of the day.... but it was so worth it!

What else is better than recuperating with chocolate?  Nothing. So we did!  We spent some time over in Hershey, PA.  Such a cute town! and so much chocolate.....

Can you believe the size of all that candy??? Heaven. on. Earth.

So hear this.  I wanted to do many many things on this trip. One of them was a little concerning.  But I couldn't help myself!  I just had to do it! So glad I did!

I went to work.

During my vacation.

For real? Yes.

Let's back up a bit.  I didn't actually work that day.  Here at my office in Utah, I communicate with so many people at our corporate office in Delaware.  I have wanted to meet them SOOOO BADLY!  This trip was the perfect way to do that!  I know I know... so strange of me to go to work but I just had to put faces to names! It was so much fun meeting all of those women that I talk to so regularly.

Rachel had a birthday while we were over there.  Yay for Rachel! Happy B-day!  She really wanted to go to the beach for the occasion so we all packed up and headed 3 hours away to Rehoboth Beach, DE.  Loved that beach.  Go when you get a chance and you'll be glad you did! Just bring sunscreen.... we did and we still got fried.

We did so much exploring too!  We went on a hike, walked around a humongous pet store, we visited Jason's school (he is going to school to be a watchmaker.  How cool is that!), went to Hershey Amusement Park (no pictures from that.... just way to tired),  visited the local chocolate factory in Lititz, played with fireflies, ate lots of good food and just had such a great time with the Woods family!

There were some pretty funny crabs at the pet store... I just had to get a video!

Playing with the fireflies....

Justin and I were just talking about how we are so ready for another vacation.  Ours was just so good!!!  Thanks Jason, Rachel, Brady, & Bryce for being such wonderful hosts!  We had a blast!

Hope you all had such a wonderful 4th of July holiday!  I will tell you all about mine tomorrow!
