Cancun - Pt. I

I cannot believe that our trip to Cancun has already come and gone!  We had such an amazing time especially since we got to spend it with Tommy and Ashley.  I could tell so many stories and explain every picture in detail.... but I will spare you and just let you enjoy our photos!
^^"Enjoying" our 11 hour layover in Texas..... yeah that's never happening again.^^
I couldn't believe that this beach was real.  I had always thought the pictures and postcards had been photoshopped for sure.... but they definitely aren't and it's breathtaking!

Our hotel all decked out for Christmas.

^^Love this pic of Ashley and Tommy reading and soaking in the sun.^^
All the food was amazing in Cancun!!!!  So of course, I took pictures.... of EVERYTHING I ate. haha

Constant orders of virgin Pina Colada's were a staple in our daily routine.

^^A fish spa?  Supposedly you stick your feet in and the fish in there eat off all your dead skin.  I'll stick to my pedicures thank you very much.^^
FAVORITE MEAL! Spinach and mozzarella stuffed chicken rolled in chopped almonds and fried. Served with steamed veggies and a green cream sauce that was to die for.  I had this twice and loved it each time!

More to come......

Hope you all are having such a wonderful Holiday!
How was your Christmas??  I know ours was great!

HAPPY FRIDAY! Loved this short work week.

I'm back!

but only for a few days..... what with going to Cancun for the next week and all.
I SERIOUSLY CANNOT EVEN WAIT!
I am completely unable to focus and I started packing like... last week.  Granted everything is basically unpacked because I had to use most of what was in there for this week.  It is what is.
Taking a break was much needed!  I had lots of other things that took my time away but I'm excited to start writing again!

SOME UPDATES:
I have now lost 29lbs!  I know it's ridiculous.  It feels amazing and I am so happy!  Especially when I got size 12 pants for my birthday in June and yesterday I went to the mall and tried on a size 6 pair of jeans and they fit perfectly! Ah.........
and.....
Someone cut off his luscious locks!  Can't say that I mind.... :)  He looks so handsome!  Thanks Justin... I love you!

He wanted to try out a mullet first.... hahahaha oh my goodness we were all dying!
Before and After!  He misses his long hair already.  But he did it for me and I am truly grateful.

Early last week I was debating on whether or not I should put up Christmas since we were going to be gone for almost half the month anyway.  Then Justin said how nice it would be to come home with everything all festive and decorated..... that definitely made me decide to do it!  I'm so glad I did!  I love Christmas!  Even though we were a little late putting it up, I still think we have had plenty of time to enjoy it.
Looking at Netflix I found a "movie" called Fireplace in your home.  Turns out... it's just a recording of a fireplace with all the crackles and noises it makes!  We pretend it brings in warmth and get all comfy-cozy!
I can't believe we leave on vacation in two days!  One big thing I'm missing is Ariel's and Kalinja's Nutcracker performance.  We have gone every year.... All of us girls have all been in it but Ariel and Kalinja have stuck with it all this time and they are both so fabulous!  I regret that I am going to miss it.... they are going to be so amazing!  If you live in Utah and want to see Utah Regional Ballet's rendition of the Nutcracker please go!  You will be glad you did!  It's at the new Covey Center for the Arts down in Provo.  It's quite the amazing Christmas tradition for sure.

Happy Holidays everyone!

Oh how I wish it was still the weekend......  it was so nice.

I just barely got off pinterest this morning and now everyone who follows me has about 1000 pins on their feed of desserts.  For some reason my sweet tooth is on overdrive.  What's a good semi-healthy snack I could have!?!?!?  Gotta curb these cravings!

How was your weekend?  What did you do?

So loving this holiday season.  Now all we need is the snow....

Labor Day Weekend + W.F.R. 2012

An eventful weekend it sure was.....

Lots of fun, games, family, and spiders.  I think almost all of us were bitten. .......I hate spiders........  We spent the first part of the family reunion weeding the in-laws yard and sleeping under the stars.  By stars I mean rain and lighting.  We all meandered inside not long after we all settled down in our sleeping bags.  The next morning we started off with a small race (I might've been panting the entire time.... so maybe I'm out of shape) and had some fun times at the park nearby.

Activities such as:

Those crazy hoodlums.  I love them so much!  I did the face-painting but I cannot take credit for the amazing artistry of Paige who did Kaydence's face (in the middle).  :)

We took a small break on Sunday to attend church and get rested up for the next part of the WFR 2012.  It was greatly needed.  We headed up that night to beautiful Heber to spend the night at the Liston cabin.

FIRST SIGHTINGS OF FALL!

We started off with a yummy dinner and the kids "played" (knife throwing..... SCARY!) and the adults enjoyed some entertaining (and heated) card games.

THE INFAMOUS FUN MACHINE.

These two were sure enjoying each others company.

It was getting late but THE FUN ONES decided that 1:00 am was way too early for the shenanigans to end. (What were we thinking! We weren't......)  We traveled on foot through rivers, weeds, shrubbery and private property to play on the ropes course at a nearby camp.  Completely worth it!  Oh and I will never regret going to see Justin do the rope swing and fall accidentally into the muddy water.  In his pajamas. Yay for THE FUN ONES!

The pictures aren't great but it WAS 2:00 in the morning....

Needless to say that I am WAY behind in my sleep and unfortunately not feeling so great.  I can't decide which is worse. Getting sick before your vacation or getting sick when it's back to reality.  I don't like either of them.

So much fun and so eventful!  Lamar, Eileen, Jason, Rachel, Brady and Bryce we sure missed you guys there!!!!  We were the only "Woods" without you!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend!
